App: com.noveltify.kinetica · Developer: Noveltify Solutions
Noveltify Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Kinetica mobile application (the "App") available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.
The App collects the following data, stored entirely on your device in a local SQLite database:
| Data Type | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Step count | Recorded via hardware pedometer sensor (Android: TYPE_STEP_COUNTER / iOS: CMPedometer). Used to display daily, weekly, and historical step data. | Local device only |
| Name (optional) | Personalise the app experience. | Local device only |
| Age, gender, height, weight (optional) | Calculate BMI, BMR, TDEE, calorie burn, and distance. Never used for any other purpose. | Local device only |
| Step goal | Track daily goal progress and progress bar display. | Local device only |
| Notification preferences | Store your daily reminder time and on/off preference. | Local device only |
| Unit preference | Metric or imperial display setting. | Local device only |
None of this data is ever uploaded to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose beyond what is described above.
We explicitly do not collect, access, or transmit:
| GPS or location data | Kinetica uses only the pedometer sensor. Your location is never accessed. |
| Camera or microphone | Not requested, not used. |
| Contacts or calendar | Not requested, not used. |
| Health records | No HealthKit (iOS) or Google Health Connect data is read or written. |
| Precise device identifiers | We do not collect IMEI, serial number, or similar identifiers ourselves. AdMob may collect GAID/IDFA — see Section 5. |
| Usage analytics | We do not use Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or any analytics SDK beyond what AdMob reports. |
| Crash reports | No Crashlytics or crash reporting SDK is integrated. |
Data collected by the App is used solely to provide the App's features:
| Display step count | Show today's steps on the dashboard, home screen widget, and notification. |
| Calculate fitness metrics | Compute calories burned, distance walked, active minutes, BMI, and goal progress using your profile data. |
| History & insights | Display weekly and monthly step history and trends. |
| Daily reminders | Send a local notification at your chosen time to encourage walking. |
| Home screen widget | Display step count, progress, calories, and distance on your home screen using Android/iOS widget APIs. |
The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
AdMob may collect and process the following data to serve personalised or non-personalised advertisements:
| Advertising ID | Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android, IDFA on iOS — used for ad targeting and frequency capping. |
| IP address | Used for approximate geolocation for ad relevance. |
| App interaction data | Ad impression and click events reported to AdMob. |
This data is collected and processed by Google under their own Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.
Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
The App requests only the permissions necessary to provide its features. No permission is used beyond the stated purpose.
All data is stored locally on your device and is fully under your control.
| Delete all data | Settings → Clear All Data within the App. This permanently removes all step history, profile information, and preferences. |
| Delete specific history | Individual daily records can be deleted from the History screen. |
| Uninstall | Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data from your device. |
| Retention period | Step history is retained indefinitely until you delete it or uninstall the App. We do not set a forced expiry on your data. |
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party, with the following exception:
| Google AdMob | Advertising data as described in Section 5. This is entirely managed by Google under their own privacy policy and terms. |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Standard app distribution. These platforms may collect installation and purchase data under their own privacy policies. |
| Law enforcement | We may disclose data if required by law. Given that we hold no server-side data, there is no data we could provide beyond what is on your device. |
Kinetica is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at noveltifysolutions@gmail.com and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.
Your data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device, protected by your device's own security mechanisms (screen lock, device encryption). We do not transmit your data over the internet, which eliminates a significant class of data breach risk.
We implement reasonable technical safeguards within the App. However, no method of storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device's operating system and the App up to date.
Depending on your country or region, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
| Right of access | You can view all data the App holds about you directly within the App (Profile, History, Settings screens). |
| Right to rectification | You can edit your profile information at any time in the Settings screen. |
| Right to erasure | You can delete all data via Settings → Clear All Data, or by uninstalling the App. |
| Right to portability | You can export your step history as a CSV file via Settings → Export Data. |
| Right to opt-out of ads | You can opt out of personalised advertising as described in Section 5. |
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full and direct control over it at all times. To exercise any right, use the in-app controls described above or contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we update the policy, we will publish the updated version on this page.
For significant changes, we will provide a notice within the App on the next launch. Continued use of the App after the updated policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
We recommend checking this page periodically. Previous versions are available on request.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us:
We will respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 30 days.
